Online Suboxone Treatment
Medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder by telehealth — where your prescriber is also a licensed chemical dependency counselor, not a referral to a stranger.
Treated by one person, not handed between three
In most medication-assisted treatment programs, the prescriber, the counselor and the psychiatric provider are three different people at three different organizations who never speak to each other.
Shumeka Hill is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, a family nurse practitioner, and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. The medication, the counseling and the depression or anxiety underneath it are handled in the same relationship.
Roughly half of people with a substance use disorder have a co-occurring mental health condition. Treating one while ignoring the other is a common reason people relapse.
Can you get Suboxone through telehealth?
Yes, and it is worth understanding why. Under federal rules currently in effect, DEA-registered practitioners may evaluate patients and prescribe buprenorphine for opioid use disorder by telemedicine without a prior in-person examination. For opioid use disorder specifically, this can include audio-only visits.
Two conditions apply to every provider, including this one: you must be physically located in a state where we are licensed, and a prescription is never automatic. Any clinic promising you a prescription before meeting you is not practicing medicine.
What treatment looks like
- Book — most new patients are seen within the same week, with no referral required
- A full evaluation covering substance use history, prior treatment, physical and mental health
- If buprenorphine is appropriate, a prescription sent to a pharmacy you choose, with guidance on starting safely
- Frequent check-ins at first, spacing out as you stabilize
- Counseling alongside medication, from the same licensed person
What it costs
We are a self-pay practice. We do not bill insurance, which means no prior authorizations, no coverage denials, and no surprise bill months later. You know the price before you book.
We publish our rates because “call for pricing” is a barrier, and barriers are what keep people from getting care.
Available across 23 states
Suboxone Treatment by video wherever you are licensed to be seen.
Frequently asked questions
- How quickly can I start treatment?
- Most new patients are scheduled within the same week, and medication can often begin at or shortly after the first visit when clinically appropriate. If you are in withdrawal now, call us and we will do what we can to see you sooner.
- Do I need insurance?
- No, and we do not bill it. We are self-pay with published rates, which means no prior authorization delays and no coverage denial standing between you and treatment.
- Who can prescribe Suboxone?
- Any DEA-registered practitioner, including nurse practitioners. The separate X-waiver requirement was eliminated in 2023.
- Is Suboxone trading one addiction for another?
- No. Buprenorphine taken as prescribed stabilizes brain chemistry so withdrawal and cravings stop dominating your life. Physical dependence is not the same as addiction, and this is among the most evidence-supported treatments in medicine.
- Can I do my visit by phone instead of video?
- For opioid use disorder treatment, audio-only visits are currently permitted under federal rules. Tell us when you book.
- Is this confidential?
- Yes. Substance use treatment records carry additional federal protection under 42 CFR Part 2, beyond standard HIPAA.
- What if I have relapsed before?
- Then you are in the right place. Relapse is part of the clinical picture for a chronic condition, not a disqualification and not a moral failure. Telling us about one will not cost you your place here — we would far rather know.
Medication is prescribed only where clinically appropriate following an evaluation. No prescription is guaranteed, and this page does not promise any specific medication or outcome. You must be physically located in a state where your provider is licensed at the time of your visit.
