Availability

Same-day appointments

No referral. No waitlist. No three-month queue for a first appointment. Same-day and next-day slots are regularly available across all 23 states we're licensed in.

Phone hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM Eastern

Why the wait is usually so long elsewhere

The standard wait for a first psychiatric appointment in much of the country runs from several weeks to several months. Two things drive that: a genuine shortage of providers, and insurance pre-authorization steps that add time before anyone has been seen.

This practice is self-pay and telehealth-only, which removes the second problem entirely. There is no coverage check to clear and no waiting room to schedule around — so an opening today is simply an opening today.

What you can be seen for today

Being seen fast doesn't mean being seen briefly

A new patient evaluation is 45 to 60 minutes regardless of how quickly you got in. Same-day access is about removing the queue, not shortening the appointment.

Same-day appointments: common questions

Can I really be seen the same day?
Often, yes — same-day and next-day slots are regularly available, and there is no referral or waitlist. Availability varies by day and by service, so call to confirm what's open.
How do I get a same-day appointment?
Call 888-391-0272 during phone hours (Mon–Fri, 9:30am–5:30pm ET) and ask what's open today, or book online and pick the earliest slot showing.
Is a same-day appointment shorter or more rushed?
No. A new patient evaluation is 45–60 minutes whether you booked it today or three weeks ago. Getting in quickly doesn't mean being seen briefly.
Do I need insurance for a same-day appointment?
No. We're self-pay and don't bill insurance, which is part of why we can see people quickly — there's no prior authorization step between you and an appointment.
What if I'm in crisis right now?
This is not an emergency service. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. In a medical emergency, call 911.
