Licensure
Licensed in 23 states
All care is delivered by telehealth. To be seen, you need to be physically located in one of the states below at the time of your appointment — a requirement that applies to every telehealth provider, not just this one.

What a nurse practitioner can do where you live
Scope of practice rules differ by state, and the vocabulary sounds more alarming than the reality is. Read the plain-English guide to what full, reduced and restricted authority change about your care.
Not on the list?
We can only treat patients located in states where Shumeka Hill holds an active license. If your state isn't here, we can't see you — and we'd rather say so now than waste your time.
Common questions
- How do I know if you can treat me?
- If you are physically located in one of our 23 licensed states at the time of your appointment, we can see you. Your permanent address matters less than where you actually are during the visit.
- What if I travel between states?
- You can be seen from any state where your provider is licensed. If you travel to a state that isn't on the list, your appointment has to wait until you're back in a licensed one.
- What if my state isn't listed?
- Then we can't treat you, and we'd rather tell you that now than waste your time. Licensure is a legal requirement, not a preference.
Licensure current as of September 2026. 5 states are actively prioritized for new patient capacity.
